Monther Ghabn, Mosab Masri, Anas Masri, and Mohammad Farjallah—may you rest in peace
Palestine – July 2024 – With hearts heavy and voices unshaken, Sawaed19 mourns the loss of four of its most dedicated volunteers, young men who chose hope over despair, service over silence, and love for humanity over self-preservation.
We mourn:
Monther Ghabn
Mosab Masri
Anas Masri
Mohammad Farjallah
May your souls rest in peace and your names remain eternal in the memory of your people.
These young heroes were killed during the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, a genocidal war that has not only destroyed homes, schools, and hospitals, but has taken the lives of those who stood at the frontlines of compassion.
They were volunteers, not militants.
Healers, not fighters.
Carriers of light, not bearers of destruction.
And yet, they were targeted and silenced.
“Volunteers are not collateral. They are the last thread of hope in the darkest chapters of history. Killing them is an assault on the very idea of humanity.”
Sawaed19 Team
From delivering aid and providing emotional support, to organizing youth programs and rebuilding their neighborhoods—Monther, Mosab, Anas, and Mohammad represented the essence of what it means to give without condition, and serve without expectation.
Their loss is a wound in our hearts. But it is also a call to action: To protect volunteers. To recognize their role as peacebuilders. To ensure their sacrifices are not forgotten.
Sawaed19 will continue to carry their message. Their dreams of freedom, dignity, and community resilience live on in our mission, and we will never stop honoring their path.
To their families—we offer not only our deepest condolences, but our unwavering solidarity. Your sons were heroes. Their lives mattered. Their stories will be told.
To the world, we say: Volunteers are not targets. Volunteers are the soul of a just society.
Rest in power, dear brothers. We will remember you always.
