The library includes detailed profiles of more than 1,000 active non-profit organizations across Palestine—spanning the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem—categorized by sector, location, and scope of work. The initiative is designed to foster greater visibility, collaboration, and resource access among Palestinian institutions.
“This is more than a database—it’s a tool for connection, transparency, and collective impact. We believe that open access to this kind of knowledge can empower both civil society and the broader public.”
Rand Bakeer, Social Leader at Sawaed19
The project originated from a volunteer-led research initiative, where dozens of youth compiled and verified information from public records, organizational websites, and local networks. It serves local communities, donors, volunteers, researchers, and policy makers who seek to understand or engage with the non-profit landscape in Palestine.
“At Sawaed19, we see this as a foundational step toward strengthening the civic ecosystem,” said Hiba Awaysa, CEO of Sawaed19. “We’re proud to have supported Qaf Team in bringing this to life.”
The digital library is part of Sawaed19’s broader vision to use technology for social impact, promote transparency in the non-profit sector, and bridge gaps between organizations, funders, and citizens.
